Indictments handed down in multiple Smith Co. criminal cases

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A Smith County grand jury handed down indictments for suspects in multiple criminal cases on Friday.

Jaworski Lynn Adkins, 36, was indicted for his alleged involvement in an October 11 robbery at a Conoco gas station in Lindale. Police say Adkins robbed the gas station using a firearm and then fled in a white sedan. He is being held in the Smith County Jail on $100,000 bond.

Donald Adams, 53, was indicted on one count of assault of a public servant. On October 23, Daingerfield Police Department and SWAT responded to a reported homicide in the 800 block of Carpenter Street in Daingerfield. The report turned out to be a hoax. Adams was taken into custody on charges of false alarm or report. He is being held in the Smith County Jail on $150,000 bond.

The 22nd person accused of conspiring in an East Texas identity theft ring, 25-year-old Blake Gee, was indicted Friday. Gee turned himself into the Tyler Police Department on November 19. He remains in the Smith County Jail on $750,000 bond.

Vahid Lamea, 52, was indicted on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated sexual assault. Lamea was arrested by Tyler police at his home in Bellehaven Court just before 1 a.m. on October 18. He allegedly barricaded himself, his wife and their 9-year-old daughter inside the home. His wife was treated for a stab wound and his daughter was treated for a cut. His bond has been set at $2 million.
