MARION COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Johnson's Creek Marina on Lake O' the Pines in Marion County has been temporarily shut down.

Sam Edwards, the manager at Johnson's Creek Marina, said they are doing maintenance to repair some of the docks and the marina will be closed temporarily.

"We'll open it back up, probably in a week or two, depending on when materials come in," said Edwards.

According to Cody Berry, one of five park rangers assigned to the lake, the marina was closed because of public health and safety issues. Berry declined to elaborate on what those issues are.

Lake O' the Pines is located two and a half hours east of Dallas and one hour west of Shreveport.
