Texas Daycare Looses License

A daycare center in Texas has been shutdown after authorities learned a child in its care was tied up with duct tape.

The incident happened at the ABC Kiddie College in Alice, Texas.  The center's owner, Arleen Aguilar, was arrested and charged with injury to a child, and the daycare's license was suspended.

The boy, whose wrists and ankles were bound with duct tape, was taken to a hospital in Alice yesterday for examination.

Cheif Daniel Bueno of the Alice Police Department says, "in the 27 years I've been here I've never seen anything like this. But of course we read about it in other areas of the country that this occurs. It was really a shock to me as well as some of the officers."

Aguilar could face more charges, she's currently out on bond.

The boy's family has hired an attorney. They're planning to sue the owner, the daycare and the employees for abuse and neglect.
