My grandmother, Monnie Fay Davis, passed away August 2, 2013. She was 88 years old.
She was very much loved and still is. She was a strong, independent woman and the only thing she ever asked for was for every one to get along and to love one another. She always had a smile on her face.
She was a strong Christian woman and kept her tv on the Christian Network. Her daughter Johnnie Watson and her late son Jimmie Davis were her pride and joy!
She loved all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren so much but she was quick to let us know if he had done wrong. She wouldn't let us get by with anything, but I wouldn't have had wanted it any other way.
When I think about granny, I remember her love for music and dancing. I think it was about two years ago on Thanksgiving. She was outside in the driveway with some of the family listening to my cousin's cd when I looked out and saw her. I called mom over and l said, "look at your mother," and we started laughing because at 86 years old she was outside dancing.
She is missed very much but lives on in all of our hearts!!
I love you Granny,
