My dad, Bernie Ray Adams, passed away December 15th, 2013. He had been sick for the past two years with breathing problems, heart problems, kidney problems and diabetes.
In September, we found out he had four broken vertebra. He had surgery in October. In November we found out his hips were deteriorating from all the steroids he had used for his breathing. At the beginning of December, we found out he had eight broken vertebra. He was to have three surgeries. He had one on Wednesday, December 11 that we were told we went well. Thursday ,he told us that he was stopping all surgeries and coming home. Friday he came home on hospice. He was in the best mood ever and so loving. Saturday afternoon he started fading quite quickly.
Early Sunday morning, my mama woke me up to check if he had passed. He had, sometime between 1:15 a.m. & 2 a.m. He came home, we believe, to see his grandbabies one more time and to remember them. He passed peacefully.
He was a husband, a dad, a Paw and a dear friend to those who knew him! We miss him!
