VIDEO: Armed suspect robs Longview restaurant

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Authorities are working to identify a suspect who robbed a Longview restaurant.

According to Longview Police Department, officers were dispatched to China King on December 20 at 10:39 p.m. for an aggravated robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival, the victim told police that a white male approximately 5'9" to 6'0" tall approached her at the register.

The victim said the man was unshaven and had several white patches in his beard on the right side of his face. The man pulled out a weapon and demanded the cash register. The victim gave the man money and he left the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is believed to have fled the scene in a dark silver, champagne-colored four-door car.

The suspect was wearing a black t-shirt, jeans and an orange baseball cap.

After reviewing surveillance video taken at the restaurant, police determined that the man had been approached the counter just minutes prior to the robbery, took a menu and left.
