(RNN) - South Carolina beat Akron 69-59 on Christmas Day in Hawaii, and now returns home to face the same Zips on Saturday. The rematch will tip at 3 p.m. ET on ESPNU from Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, SC.

The Gamecocks (4-6) got balanced scoring to take their second win in the tournament and finish third in Hawaii's Diamond Head Classic two days ago.

Duane Notice hit 7 of 12 shots and scored 15 points, Sindarius Thornwell and Brenton Williams added 12 each and Michael Carrera and Tyrone Johnson got 10 apiece in the comeback victory over the Zips (6-4).

The Zips led 31-25 at the half. USC started a 14-3 run midway through the second half that proved the difference in the game.

The Gamecocks played lockdown defense on the Zips, who only managed 22-of-58 shooting.

Demetrius Treadwell led Akron with 12 points and Quincy Diggs added 10.
