My sister was the best person I've ever known. She was always helping others, and putting her family first. We lost our mother seven short years ago to cancer, and we took care of her until her last breath.
In August, my sister, Tami Burich, found out she had cancer. She fought hard to overcome it. Last week she lost her battle.
She lived in the Dallas area and when we attended her funeral, my heart was so proud of her. The church was at standing room only. So many friends and coworkers telling us stories of how she touched their lives.
She left her husband of 24 years, and two children, Josh and Holly.
Tami was only 54. I miss her terribly, but I am glad she got to spend Christmas with our mother.
