Man taken to hospital with life threatening injuries after assault

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

On Wednesday morning, Longview police responded to a welfare concern in the 1500 block of South Highway 31. When officers arrived, they found a man lying unconscious in the parking lot of a business.

Longview Police Department spokesperson Kristie Brian said police are treating the incident as an assault.

The victim was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

Police encourage anyone with information about this incident to contact Longview Police detectives at 903-237-1199. The caller can remain anonymous by calling Gregg County Crime Stoppers at 903-236-7867.
