Accused Killer Of Troup Teen Returned To Stand Trial

She was on the run for more than four years, accused of kidnapping and killing a Troup teen.

Now, Desiree Dawn Lingo-Perkins is back in East Texas, having arrived back at the Cherokee County Jail in Rusk. She was caught at the Texas/Mexico border last Thursday.

Lingo-Perkins was arraigned yesterday morning for the capital murder of then 18-year-old Kyle McElroy of Troup.  Her bail is set at $1 million.  No trial date has been set.
