East Texans have big plans for Mega-Millions money

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

We are in the giving season, but it's the lottery that's giving big!

Tonight's Mega Millions Lottery has jumped, at last check, to $636 million.

There were many East Texans who bought their lottery tickets today, and they say they already know what they'd spend the money on if they win.

"I would help others or whoever I can," said Barbara Autrey, a lottery hopeful. "Then I would spend some on myself. I would buy a nice home that has a gate and a lock. Also, I have always wanted a Jaguar so I would pay cash for my new car and home."

Other East Texans say they would live solely off their winnings.

"I'm going to quit work," said Latoshia White, another hopeful lottery player. "I'm through working for life if I win this money. I am done."

Today alone the D & N Grocery in Tyler, which has the second highest lottery ticket sales in East Texas, said they have sold over 1,300 tickets.
