Tyler police search for suspect in aggravated robbery

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Tyler police are searching for the suspect in an aggravated robbery early Tuesday morning.

At 1:21 a.m. officers were called to The Reserves apartment complex at 2800 block of County Road 272. A 19-year-old told police he was held at gunpoint and his car was stolen by two black males.

The victim told police he was followed by at least two black males driving a white Chevy Impala. He says when he arrived at the front gate of the complex, the driver of that Impala approached his car and displayed a handgun and told him to get out of the his burgundy 1995 Buick Roadmaster. The suspect then drove off in the victim's car, while the Chevy Impala followed. 

Tyler police say the suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, 6 foot 3 inches tall and 240-250 pounds. He also has a dark complexion, and was wearing a gray thermal shirt and gray sweat pants.

Tyler-Smith County Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
