Reports: Bama OL Steen to miss Sugar Bowl due to surgery

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WSFA) -

Alabama offensive lineman Anthony Steen will reportedly miss the Crimson Tide's Sugar Bowl appearance against Oklahoma in January.

Reports from CBSSports.com say Steen, who is one of the nation's top guard prospects for the 2014 NFL Draft, is out following surgery on his shoulder to repair a partially torn labrum.

Steen has been a critical piece in the Tide's rushing effectiveness to the right side.

There has yet to be any comment on Steen from the Crimson Tide's coaching staff.
