The man accused of robbing a Baton Rouge bank at gunpoint two months ago was arrested early Friday morning.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said Dustin Givens, 30, of Baton Rouge, was taken into custody by US Marshals. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a charge of armed robbery.

The Regions Bank on Plank Road at Denham Street was robbed on October 8 around 10:40 a.m. Investigators said the suspect entered the bank carrying a gun, walked up to the security guard on duty and told her to give him her gun. They added he then went to the front teller and demanded cash.

Police said the man grabbed the money and ran away. They did not report how much money the bank robber got away with.
