Buffalo police arrest man wanted for brutal murder of Houston woman

BUFFALO, TX (KLTV) -

On Tuesday, 28-year-old Colt Morgan, who was wanted for a brutal murder in Harris County was arrested by Buffalo police. Morgan had eluded authorities for almost a month.

According to Harris County homicide detectives, Morgan is charged with the murder of his girlfriend, 44-year-old Wende Marshall, of Cypress. Early in November, Harris County sheriff's investigators believe Morgan killed Marshall inside her Cypress-area home and then burned her body. Officer found human remains inside the residence.

Morgan was spotted by Buffalo police around 8 p.m. on November 23 near a store in Leon County. When an officer approached Morgan to question him, Morgan reportedly head-butted the officer and took off on foot. Officers were unable to locate him after that altercation.
