Police: Female homicide victim later identified as male

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland police say the victim killed on West 25th Street Friday morning, who was originally reported to be a woman, was actually a man.

Laron Kidd, 22, was found shot dead in a car on Friday December 6th.

Police originally reported the victim to be a woman because he was wearing women's clothing.

The victim was killed on Friday, December 6th at 21270 W. 25th Street at 2:12 a.m.

Initial investigation says a witness heard one shot and saw someone flee the scene, but there is no description of the suspect. 

The Cleveland Police Homicide Unit is currently investigating.
