An East Texas preacher is braving thecold to camp out for charity, and he's asking for your help.

With a bone-chilling, freezing rain falling, the fire kept burning at Chad Lee's camp site on highway 80 in Big Sandy.

He'll be there for 13 days.

"Crazy , just crazy," says oneobserver.

"Well, the first three days were prettynice. I stayed in the tent the first three days, last night I stayed in thetruck," Lee says.

As pastor of the 'Sit'em Down Cowboy Church'of Big Sandy, Lee is trying to get food and toy donations for families andchildren in need this Christmas.

"The Lord laid on my heart have a foodand toy drive for the Agape House, so we're going to let it run for 13 days, letpeople know that we're not here to do something and then run away from it. We're here to stay," he said.

"It shows that he's very determined toget the word out there," says campout supporter Christopher Shelton.

There were numerous calls concerned withLee's welfare in the bitter cold, but he refused to break camp.

"We knew we couldn't get him to comein, so you just pray for him and hope he doesn't freeze," says churchmember Linda Baggett.

He treats those  making donations to a cup of coffee, a hotmeal, and friendship.

"Everybody that pulls can seethe love in their heart because they're wanting to give and help the folks inthe town. And that's what it's all about, to show the Christmas spirit,"Lee says.

Lee will be accepting food and toydonations at his campsite near Highway 80 and Highway 155 until December13th.
