TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Christmas came early for more than two dozen well-behaved students at an East Texas grade school.

Thirty boys and girls at Clarkston Elementary School in Tyler received brand new bicycles Friday. Academy Sports and Outdoors donated the bicycles to the school. Then, the names of all the of kindergarten, first and second graders who had been on their best behavior went into a drawing. Most of the lucky winners were speechless when they received their bikes.

"They knew that they were in the running for an award so they were trying very very hard to act their very best all of the time and exhibit those traits for character like responsibility and trustworthiness," says Clarkston Principal Gretchen Nabi.

In addition to the bikes, Academy also donated 30 helmets to the young riders.
