TISD Bond Proposal Gains Another Backer

Another supporter for the TISD bond.
The "Better Schools, Better Tyler" committee endorsed the $96 million bond proposal on Monday.
The 28 member committee says Tyler schools are too old and too many portable classrooms are in use in the district.
"The facilities that teachers and students find themselves in have a direct impact on the quality of instruction and because of that, it's time for Tyler to step up," said Jack Davidson.
The Tyler Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Council, and the "Vote Yes" committee have all thrown support behind the bond.
Voters will make a decision on election day, November 2.
