In the 6th grade they pretended to be one another and for a week teachers didn't know that A.J. was going to C.J.'s class and vice versa. Alvin and Calvin Moore didn't get in trouble for pulling that trick, they actually had the support of their principal to make it happen.
Tomorrow the dynamic duo will play their final high school game together as Bassfield tries to win a 2nd straight 2A state title. The (14-1) Yellowjackets will meet Calhoun City at 3pm.
Last year both played a big role in Bassfield's championship as CJ played quarterback and AJ at linebacker. Each play that same position this season but also share the field at times, with CJ taking over some linebacker duties and AJ at running back.
Not only are the Moore twins playing on a title team, they are two of the top recruits in the state. This summer Ole Miss offered the pair a chance to play together in college and almost immediately they committed to the Rebels.
While they will continue to play together at the next level, the Moore's would love to finish this chapter with another gold ball.
