Woman Accused Of Murder Now in Custody

She's been on the run for four years. Now the woman accused of kidnapping and killing a Troup teen has been caught.

The FBI says Desiree Dawn Lingo-Perkins, now in her mid-30s, was captured at the Texas-Mexico border Thursday.

Lingo-Perkins will be charged with capital murder in the March 2000 abduction and murder of then 18 year old Kyle McElroy of Troup. Along with three other men, authorities say Lingo-Perkins tried to extort money from McElroy's family before the killing. Those three men are now in prison.
