Authorities searching for ETX man who fired shots at family members

HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (News release) -

Released by the Houston County Sheriff's Office:

The Houston Co. Sheriff's office is currently conducting a man hunt in the Grapeland area for Michael Jeremy Pennington.

Pennington is around 6'3'' with brown hair and blue eyes.

The Grapeland resident has a warrant out for his arrest after authorities say he allegedly fire shots at a family member and their car.

Pennington was last spotted earlier on Sunday in the 5000 block of FM 227. According to Chief Deputy GP Shearer, the sheriff's office is currently being assisted by the Texas Rangers and a DPS helicopter.

Shearer said Pennington was last seen wearing camo overalls, a dark colored long sleeved shirt and a cap.

He was driving a White Ford Pickup with the license plate AD8 7064.

Pennington is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with any information should call the Houston Co. Sheriff's office at 936-544-2862.
