Police release timeline of Sandy Hook School shooting

In the Sandy Hook Report, police released an abbreviated time line from the first 911 call received to the time the police entered the school building.

  • 9:35:39 - First 911 call to Newtown Police Department is received.
  • 9:36:06 - Newtown Police Department dispatcher broadcasts that there is a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
  • 9:37:38 - Connecticut State Police are dispatched to Sandy Hook Elementary School for active shooter.
  • 9:38:50 - Connecticut State Police are informed that Sandy Hook Elementary School is in lockdown.
  • 9:39:00 - First Newtown police officer arrives behind Sandy Hook Elementary School on Crestwood Road.
  • 9:39:13 - Two more Newtown officers arrive at Sandy Hook Elementary School and park on the driveway near the ball field. Gunshots are heard in the background.
  • 9:39:34 - Newtown officer encounters unknown male running along the east side of Sandy Hook Elementary School with something in his hand.
  • 9:40:03 - Last gunshot is heard. This is believed to be the final suicide shot from the shooter in classroom 10.
  • 9:41:07 - Information is relayed as to the location of the last known gunshots heard within Sandy Hook Elementary School, the front of the building.
  • 9:41:24 - Newtown officer has unknown male prone on ground, starting information relay regarding possibly more than one shooter.
  • 9:42:39 - Newtown officer calls out the license plate of the shooter's car.
  • 9:44:47 - Newtown officers enter Sandy Hook Elementary School.
  • 9:46:23 - Connecticut State Police arrive at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
  • 9:46:48 - Connecticut State Police enter Sandy Hook Elementary School

    With the passing of Texas Senate Bill 762 it became a felony 3 to abuse or torture an animal in the state of Texas, and Longview's Chris Kemper helped give the law teeth.

    From the Tyler Police Department On Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 1:16 a.m., Tyler Police responded to the 8300 block of Paluxy Drive on a head-on collision. Upon arrival by EMS and Tyler Fire it was determined that that one driver was deceased and the other driver was pinned in. Accident investigators said that a 2014 GMC Sierra driven by Dakota Payne, W/M, age 27, of Diana, Texas was traveling northbound on Paluxy and drove into the southbound lane striking a 2000 GMC Yukon head-on....

    Longview Fire Department responds to residential fire

    The Longview Fire Department responded to a residential fire on the corner of Alpine Road and Bolivar Street in Longview. Five fire engines responded. Witnesses stated that flames were appearing out of the house. The fire is under control but is not completely out yet.
