Health Care Clinic Shuts Down

A Jacksonville health care clinic shuts its doors, after the state finds severe deficiencies.

The Texas Department of Aging and Disabilities Services cites several violations at Cherokee Home Health Care.

The state agency found poor accounting practices and poor patient notification procedures.

Cherokee Home Health Care was licensed in 1970 and was providing care for about 140 clients when its doors were shut. The state department says the patients have been referred to other providers in the area.
