I-20 eastbound at FM 14 re-opened

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - All eastbound lanes on the interstate have been re-opened after an overnight big rig fire near FM 14.

According to authorities, around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, an 18-wheeler hauling bags of concrete locked up it's brakes causing the big rig to catch fire. All eastbound lanes of I-20 at FM 14 were closed for several hours while crews worked to clean up the mess left behind after spraying water on the bags of concrete to put out the fire.

According to DPS, traffic is back to normal in the area.
