Stewart's Sentence Begins

Martha Stewart begins a new way of life today. The modern maven reported to a West Virginia prison this morning to serve her five month sentence for lying about a stock sale.

The media gathered outside the entrance of the Alderson Prison camp, snapping photographs of every sports utility vehicle that passed by. But Stewart somehow managed to sneak by all of the cameras. Once inside the prison, she was finger printed, photographed and searched. Stewart's arrival was announced by prison officials after daylight.

Now, Stewart will no longer be known as Martha. Instead, she'll go by her prison number. Stewart will also be given a thick book of rules and regulations.
