A East Texas native is running for Texas Governor, and stopped by an East Texas business as part of her tour.
Lisa Fritsch grew up in Tyler and graduated from John Tyler High School in 1993. She stopped by the Potpourri House in Tyler Saturday as part of her campaign tour.
Fritsch announced her run for governor in October. One of her goals is to change the number of Texans who are living in poverty. She also wants to speak to women about preserving life, and inspire others to dream big along the way.
"What I want this race to represent to other little girls that are in their rooms having big dreams like I was once, I don't want them to doubt that they are the right person people can follow," said Fritsch. "I want them to realize in Texas, those dreams are possible here."
Early voting for the primary election starts next year on February 18th through the 24th.
