Three-hundred-fifty "cuddly critters" going to children in need of love and comfort.
For more than two months, employees of Tyler's Trane Company have been collecting stuffed animals as part of their United Way campaign drive.
And this afternoon, they loaded them up for delivery. The critters will be sent to CASA For Kids of East Texas and the East Texas Crisis Center.
"Is for the children, abused children, when they go into the different centers, to put a smile on their face, to make them aware that someone cares," Bonita Tucker, a Trane employee, said. "Give them something soft and warm and cuddly to hold onto."
And by the way, the United Way campaign raised more than half-a-million dollars this year.
