According to the arrest affidavit, several witnesses say Whitney Wolfe, 19, arrived at a party in the 100 block of Myrle Avenue in Longview early Sunday morning where she began fighting with another woman who arrived in the vehicle with her. Once the fight was broken up, Wolfe got into her vehicle and accelerated towards the crowd, striking the other participant in the fight and several others. Wolfe then drove away from the scene.
On Sunday afternoon, Wolfe's mother contacted police about the incident and informed authorities that her daughter wanted to talk to police.
Wolfe told Longview police that she drove her car to the party where she began fighting with the other girl in the car. When she returned to her car, Wolfe said that someone had slashed her tire, which caused her to veer towards the crowd when she accelerated. Wolfe stated that she was aware that she struck people at the party. She then drove about five miles before getting the flat tire changed at a gas station and then driving to her parents' home.
The affidavit goes on to say that Wolfe confessed to using marijuana and Xanax before the incident occurred.
Wolfe was charged with causing an accident involving injury and was released on a $30,000 surety bond.
Two other people in the crowd were also transported to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.
