East Texas authorities seeking information in railroad battery theft

GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

The Gregg County Sheriff's Department is seeking the public's help in obtaining information in a burglary case.

Between midnight on Saturday November 16th and 6:00 AM Saturday morning, an unknown individual or individuals broke into a Union Pacific crossing station shed at the railroad tracks on Meadows Lane in Gregg County. The suspect(s) cut wires to the electronic equipment and took seven large batteries. Damage to the wiring and the batteries was valued at $2,000.00.
