Lubbock man sentenced to 12 years for killing brother

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A Lubbock man has been sentenced to 12 years for the murder of his brother in November of 2011.

Jeffrey McKinney pled guilty to the murder of his brother, Caveness DeShaun McKinney.

Police say the two men got into an argument when Jeffery fatally stabbed Caveness with a kitchen knife.

The McKinney family addressed Jeffrey with a letter during Monday's trial.
