TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

The Tyler Police Department has released surveillance video from an armed robbery that occurred at a Food Fast late Sunday night.

A store employee told police that a white male entered the store, located in the 4700 block of Troup Highway in Tyler, around 9:30 PM. The clerk said the man cashed in a lottery ticket and left. The suspect returned only minutes later, picked up a soda and walked up to the counter to pay for it. The store employee said once the cash register was open, the suspect pulled out a silver handgun. The man then demanded that the clerk give him all of the money in the register, before telling him to lay on the floor. The suspect then fled on foot from the store.

Police describe the suspect as a white man, around 6'0 to 6'4". He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, dark jeans and a tan baseball cap. He's described to be medium weight with a muscular build and tattoos on his neck.

A white Chevrolet Avalanche was also seen speeding off from the area immediately after the robbery.

An undetermined amount of money was taken. The clerk was not injured during the robbery.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact the Tyler Police Department at 903-531-1090.
