Tyler firefighters find source of smoke in apartment complex

Posted: Updated:

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The Tyler Fire Department responded to the scene of a reported structure fire at the Kensington Place Apartments, located at 4400 Paluxy Drive, on Thursday.

The initial call was received at 10:54 a.m., and six units were dispatched to the incident. Initial reports from the first arriving firefighters indicated the presence of smoke in one apartment unit.

Fire Marshal Paul Findley says that the smoke was determined to have come from a problem in the apartment's heating unit. There was no fire damage found in the building.

No injuries were reported.

On Monday, fire crews responded to the same apartment complex when a fire started between the walls of two apartments.
