Cold-shooting USC falls to Baylor

Posted: Updated:

WACO, TX (RNN) - Brady Heslip scored 18 points and Isaiah Austin added 14 at Baylor clipped South Carolina 66-64 in a game televised as part of ESPN's Tipoff Marathon.

The Gamecocks led 39-38 at the half, but lost the lead at 10:03 of the second half on a 3-pointer by Brady Heslip. USC never trailed by more than 4 and managed to tie the game at 64 with a little more than 2 minutes left to play, but didn't score again the rest of the way.

Baylor pulled away on a couple of free throws, though the Bears suffered cold shooting down the stretch, too.

Sindarius Thornwall scored 20 to lead USC.
