Three arrested after attempting to ride railcar to California

According to the Longview Police Department, three individuals were arrested Saturday after officers were dispatched to the Union Pacific railroad tracks near Premier Road.
Nineteen-year-old Gabriel Matthew Kerr, 18-year-old Felicia Torres, and 25-year-old Deajoney Marie Brooks were booked into the Gregg County Jail on charges of interfering with railroad property.
Officers were told that a subject had stowed away on one of the cars near the back of the train. Upon arrival, police located three subjects and a dog riding on the exterior of one of the train cars. The three admitted they had gotten on the train in Shreveport and were headed for California. Kerr and Torres are from California. Brooks is from Arizona.
The dog they were traveling with was taken to the Humane Society of Northeast Texas.
