Cincinnati Bell to give Fioptics customers gift cards for outage

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati Bell Fioptic customers who experienced an outage of their service Oct. 27 will be receiving a $25 Visa gift card from the company.

"We could have done a much better job communicating the problems with you," CEO Ted Torbeck said in a letter to customers.  "I can assure you that this is a top priority and it will be fixed."

The outages impacted digital cable television and high-speed Internet services.

Torbeck said internal network issues caused the intermittent outages and the company is working diligently to ensure that it minimizes them in the future.

The letter says customers will get the gift card in the next two to three weeks.
