Police say a woman admitted to setting a fire at the Tangeman University Center (TUC) on the University of Cincinnati's Main Campus.
It was reported Monday morning inside TUC, multi-purpose building located on 'MainStreet' in the heart of campus. Authorities said the fire was set in the lobby of the building and the sprinklers kept the fire from spreading.
The rest of TUC was not accessible because the university was closed for Veterans Day. No injuries were reported.
Officers said a female suspect was quickly located and taken into custody, identified as 33-year-old Amy Horn. Authorities said she was wearing a UC sweatshirt, but is not a student at the university.
Damage is estimated at $10,000, including water damage from the sprinkler system.
Horn was charged with two counts of aggravated arson. She is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
