Electrical short starts boat fire on ETX lake

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

An electrical short is the cause of a small fire on a boat while on an East Texas lake.

According to Smith County Sheriff's officials, a pontoon boat located on Lake Tyler East caught fire Saturday morning. Officials from the Texas Parks and Wildlife responded on a boat to investigate the boat which was unable to operate following the fire.

Officials towed the boat back to the shore. They have also added to nobody was injured in this fire.
