Spurrier ready for No. 13 Gamecocks stretch run

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Steve Spurrier says No. 13 South Carolina is healthy and ready for its stretch run, wherever it leads the Gamecocks.

South Carolina (7-2, 5-2 SEC) has this weekend off before wrapping up Southeastern Conference play at home against Florida on Nov. 16. Spurrier knows his team can't win the SEC Eastern Division on its own, needing losses by Missouri and Georgia for a possible trip to the Georgia Dome.

Still, Spurrier believes the Gamecocks are as healthy as they've been all season and prepped to chase another season of double-digit wins.

After Florida, South Carolina concludes the regular season with FCS opponent Coastal Carolina and state rival Clemson. All the games are at Williams-Brice Stadium where the Gamecocks last week tied a school record of 15 consecutive home wins.
