Police investigating multiple robberies from Sunday night

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock police are investigating a string of robberies and burglaries, all reported within a few hours of each other on Sunday night.

Robbery at Tobacco Road

The first incident happened around 9:50 p.m. at Tobacco Road on 2908 Parkway Drive.

Police say a black male approached the drive through window, displayed a handgun and demanded money and product.

The clerk gave the suspect what he asked for and the suspect fled the scene.

Police are still looking for this suspect.

Vehicle burglary at Fountain Apartments

The next incident was reported at 10:20 p.m. at the Fountain Apartments at 5001 Chicago.

Police say a witness observed suspects actively burglarizing a vehicle. The witness was able to follow one suspect who was arrested on scene.

Christopher Anderson, 18, was charged with burglary of a motor vehicle.

The second suspect was not found. A third suspect, who police believe may have been involved in other vehicle burglaries in the area, was arrested on unrelated warrants.

Robbery at Smokin' J's

The third incident was reported around 10:26 p.m. at Smokin' J's at 4416 50th Street.

Police say an employee was locking up and leaving the store when a suspect approached and struck them from behind.

The suspect shoved the victim back into the store and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot. The victim was taken to UMC with moderate injuries.

Robbery/Home Invasion at Hilltop Apartments

The fourth incident was reported around 11:56 p.m. at the Hilltop Apartments at 2105 E. 4th Street.

Police say three suspects forced their way into an apartment. The victims were forced to lie down while property was stolen.

The suspects fled in a vehicle and fortunately, none of the victims were injured.
