7 from 7: Stories for the first day of November

Happy Friday, everyone! We hope you're having a really good day.

Here are some stories of interest to get you through the rest of your afternoon:

1. Tyler police are asking for the public's help identifying the man shown in the above picture, captured on a local retailer's surveillance camera. He put hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise in his basket, police say, and then walked out of the store. Call 903-531-1000 if you think you know who he is.

2. A U.S. soldier overseas had to watch and listen helplessly as his pregnant wife was stabbed in their apartment in El Paso multiple times while the two were on video chat, according to police. Police have discovered why she was stabbed, as she called out the attackers name to her husband who was listening with horror as the crime took place.

3. If you're looking for something to do this weekend to have some fun in East Texas, you're in luck. Our weekly list is ready, and includes several great festivals, markets, concerts, plays, and much more.

4. The man who groped several women in Tyler stores recently has been caught this afternoon. Tyler police say they received numerous tips identifying the suspect after the story aired.  He is a young man from Jacksonville. More details here.

5. This weekend we all fall back...well, our clocks do, anyway. Do you ever wonder exactly why we do this? We've got the easy explanation for you here.

6. Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested two women for injury to a disabled person Thursday after they allegedly pulled a woman's hair, threw her to the ground, hit her, kicked her, and stomped on her.
