Car and motorcycle collide in Sylvania Township

SYLVANIA TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Sylvania Township Police are investigating an accident that occurred Monday involving a car and motorcycle.

Police say the vehicles collided at the intersection of McCord Road and Sylvania Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Monday. They say Gregory Baldwin, 61, of Toledo, was traveling northbound on McCord Road and struck a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Nicholas Babets, 21, of Sylvania. Babets was heading south on McCord and according to police, failed to yield as he attempted to turn left into a private drive.

Baldwin was transported to the hospital in serious condition. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
