Mother asks for donations for Ryan Hamilton Field after grandfather's death

HALLSVILLE, TX (KLTV) -

Ryan Hamilton’s Field is still unfinished and his family is asking for donations in order to see the project through.

A baseball field had been designated as a memorial to Ryan Hamilton, a talented baseball star, but it was never finished due to a lack of funding. Hamilton was a student at Hallsville High School who was killed in a car crash 18 years ago.

Just recently Ryan Hamilton’s grandfather passed away and in lieu of gifts or flowers, the obituary asked for donations to Ryan’s field.

Nearly $3,500 has been raised, but it is still just a fraction of the total $15,000 cost to finish the field. His mother hopes soon she will have a new memorial for her son.
