Six Longview area restaurants were hit with serious violations in the latest round of inspections by the health department including the full service restaurant inside Nu-way at 4306 west Marshall avenue. Seven violations were found in a September 22nd inspection. Evidence of rodent droppings were found, stored foods were unprotected and garbage was not disposed of. After re-inspection, they scored a B.
The full service restaurant in Thriftee food store at 100 Harrison road had seven violations in a September 8th inspection. Hot foods were at unsafe temperatures and utensils were not properly sanitized. They scored a B.
Five violations were found in an August 24th inspection of Luby's at 2802 Tuttle. Hot and cold foods were at unsafe temperatures and there was improper handling of ready to eat foods, they scored a B.
McDonalds at 3118 Estes parkway had five violations in a September 22nd inspection. Improper cooking temperatures were found and improper handling of ready to eat foods. They scored a B.
Five violations were also found in the full service restaurant at total at 3607 Eastman road. Inspected August 24th, hot foods were at unsafe temperatures and dirty cleaning linens were found. They scored a B.
