Only 2 packs of smokes for Blue Ash gas station robber

BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19) -

Police say a robbery suspect at the Marathon gas station in Blue Ash came in demanding cash but was only able to leave with a couple packs of cigarettes.

The robbery was reported Thursday just before 12 p.m. at 9210 Plainfield Road. The store clerk told police a white male entered the store with a knife and demanded money.

Police say he was unsuccessful in getting any money but able to leave with two packs of cigarettes.

The suspect then fled west, crossing Plainfield Road into the K-Mart parking lot on Hunt Road.

The man appeared to be 20-30 years of age with dark hair and some facial hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gloves.
