One person was killed in a three-vehicle accident Thursday morning in Clermont County.
Dispatchers said the accident happened just before 7 a.m. near the intersection of Ohio 131 and Hunt Road, an area just south of Stonelick State Park.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a dump truck was disabled on westbound Ohio 131. Officers say 60-year-old Virginia Stacey and 49-year-old Randy Howard stopped their Ford F-350 to render assistance to the driver of dump truck, Thomas Stacey.
At this time, police say that Carl Goldbach, 60, was heading westbound in his Ford Ranger. Officers say that Goldbach struck the rear of the dump truck. The dump truck was pushed forward into the Ford F-350.
Goldbach was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers say that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Stacey, Howard and Stacey were not injured in the crash.
The crash is currently under investigation. Officers say that alcohol and drugs are not factors.
