O'boro man with bionic hands helping other learn to use theirs

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

An Owensboro man who got bionic hands after an accident is helping others learn to use theirs.

Jason Koger is the first person in the world to receive a set of bionic hands controlled by an iPhone app. Now, thousands of Americans are using the new prosthetic hands.

Koger is helping to promote the product. He says he can pretty much do everything with the help of this new technology.

"To see an amputee, a new amputee and me show them what I have done and what I can do. To see them smile like that is worth a million bucks," Koger said.

It will be six years in March since Jason lost his hands. He plans to have a benefit around that time to bring together the people who helped him the most.
