On Wednesday, Brookshire's Grocery Company celebrated the grand opening of their newly-renovated playground in Tyler.
The playground is next to the Brookshire's Wildlife Museum off of Old Jacksonville Highway, just south of Loop 323.
It's a free play area for the community to enjoy, and has three new separate play areas for different age groups. These playgrounds are filled with age-appropriate play equipment.
The new play areas are all covered to provide some relief during rainy or sunny days. They also have rubber flooring to provide extra cushion for the children when they take a tumble.
Despite the rain Wednesday, people still came out to celebrate.
"We wanted to offer something to the public that was unique and free. We decided on a first class park and playground area for our customers, and their families to enjoy," said Rebecca Sanders, Director of Public Relations for Brookshire Grocery Company.
The winter hours for the park with be Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
