Scarecrows left naked after vandals strike

JOHNS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) -

A farm on Johns Island is asking for clothing donations after owners say vandals stole jeans and shirts for their scarecrows.

Vandals apparently broke into Legare Farms' storage building and took about 50 pairs of jeans and 40 shirts, according to one of the farmers.

The farm typically has 25 to 30 dressed scarecrows for the farm's pumpkin patch, but now only a few have clothing.

Farmers are asking the public to donate any long-sleeve pants and shirts they can spare. You can call (843) 559-0788 for more information.
