Good afternoon, and happy Wednesday to you all. It's feeling more like fall today, isn't it?

Here are some stories of interest for you to peruse on this autumn afternoon:

1. It's being called "the salute seen around the world." In the ultimate show of courage, valor and respect, one soldier has showed the nation that military pride extends through the most serious of injuries. Read his story of courage and patriotism here.

2. A woman was struck and killed by a train in Harrison County on Tuesday evening. According to Harrison County authorities, dispatchers received a call just after 6:30 p.m. that an eastbound Union Pacific freight train was involved in an accident with a female who was standing on the tracks with two dogs. Here's what we know so far.

3. You may remember the tragic day in 1991 when the "Luby's Massacre" occurred in Killeen. That happened 22 years ago today, and our concealed handgun laws in Texas were changed as a result. 4. Facebook users now reach almost 700 million, creating a virtual playground for scammers to target unsuspecting users. The Better Business Bureau is warning East Texas consumers that Facebook friends could actually be hackers impersonating family and friends to cheat you out of your money. Check out this article for tips to recognize and avoid this scam.

5. Parts of North Texas have been shaken by a minor earthquake.The U.S. Geological Survey reports the 2.4 magnitude earthquake happened at 8:37 a.m. CDT Wednesday. The quake was centered just west of Ovilla, about 20 miles south of Dallas.

6. University of Oklahoma wide receiver and Whitehouse native Trey Metoyer has been charged with felony indecent exposure, according to a report by SoonerScoop.com.
The report, posted Tuesday evening, cites Cleveland County, Oklahoma court documents which state Metoyer, 20, is accused of exposing himself in Norman on two occasions in September and August.
